The WG1&2 meeting, attended by c.15 experts on the study of raptor poisoning, was convened at National Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa", Bucharest. The workshop addressed issues related to investigations of cause of death in raptors by toxic compounds by direct ingestion of poisoned baits or by consumption of carcasses or animals previously intoxicated.
European Raptor Biomonitoring Scheme
WG1&2 has concluded a successful meeting at the National Museum of Natural History, Madrid, Spain. The workshop addressed issues related to risk assessment of exposure to anticoagulant rodenticides in European raptors. Approximately 25 participants attended.
A meeting (4-6 February 2019) involving around 30 representatives from all four Working Groups, addressing the prioritisation of compounds, raptor species, and tissue matrices for biomonitoring with raptors has concluded successfully in Thessaloniki, Greece.
