WG1&2 meeting on poisoning of raptors held in Bucharest

The WG1&2 meeting, attended by c.15 experts on the study of raptor poisoning, was convened at National Museum of Natural History "Grigore Antipa", Bucharest. The workshop addressed issues related to investigations of cause of death in raptors by toxic compounds by direct ingestion of poisoned baits or by consumption of carcasses or animals previously intoxicated.

WG4 meeting held in Thessaloniki

WG4 concluded a successful meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, back-to-back with the workshop on prioritisation of species, to address Task 4.3 on development of best practice guidance and protocols for raptor sampling and field data capture. Approximately 30 participants drawn largely from the field arena attended the meeting.

WG3 Meeting held in Brussels

WG3 (Collections Arena) convened a successful meeting in Brussels on 10-11 December 2018 which addressed the Review of Raptor Collections across Europe, and considered the scope of the planned European Raptor Specimen Bank. The meeting was attended by around 20 participants from natural history museums, environmental specimen banks and research collections. A meeting report is in preparation.
